The Falls Prevention Virtual Learning Collaborative is designed for interprofessional teams from any Canadian acute, long-term and home healthcare settings who need help with reducing falls and injury from falls through utilization of effective methodologies, resources and strategies to support quality improvement efforts that support practice change focused on falls.
Objectives:
- Participants will gain an enhanced understanding of issues related to falls prevention and injury reduction
- Participants will have the opportunity to learn and adopt effective improvement methodologies, resources and strategies utilizing the “Getting Started Kit (GSK): Reducing Falls and Injury from Falls” to support change focused on falls and injury from falls
- Participants will have the opportunity to share learning and network with Fall Prevention Virtual Learning Collaborative colleagues: ‘everyone teaches and everyone learns’
- Improve care through the implementation of evidence based clinical care guidelines and produce measurable results in a defined time by tracking the team’s successful progress
