​Welcome to the STOP Infections Now Collaborative. This initiative will run from October 2011 to April 2013.

With the help of our expert faculty, learn how to bring about positive culture change and engage healthcare communities in reducing infections using the Model for Improvement and liberating structures methodology. This new combined approach is meant to add onto the more traditional quality improvement techniques, not to replace them entirely. 

The STOP Infections Now Collaborative will be delivered via WebEx technology. Participants will be additionally supported by monthly calls, written materials and a Community of Practice.

Key items:

  • There will be a number of measures and your team will be required to choose and submit data for at least 3 of them.
  • Once you have registered, you will be a part of a larger group who is working on similar problems.

Success Factors for participating:

  • Designated multidisciplinary team
  • Strong support from quality/performance improvement department and Infection Prevention and Control
  • Sponsorship and support from leadership
  • Attendance by at least 3 member of the team on every activity during the collaborative.

  • Learning Session 3: November 23, 2011 
  • Learning Session 4: February 29th, 2012
  • Learning Session 5: March 7th, 2012
  • Learning Session 6: June 6th, 2012
  • Learning Session 7: October/November 2012

All learning sessions will be 3 hours in length and are scheduled for

1:30 pm NT; 1:00pm AT; 12:00pm ET; 11:00am CT; 10:00am MT; 9:00am PT

Monthly Team Calls

  • Team Call 1: December 15th, 2011
  • Team Call 2: January 18th, 2012
  • Team Call 3: April 18, 2012
  • Team Call 4: May 16, 2012
  • Team Call 5: July 11, 2012
  • Team Call 6: September 12, 2012

All team calls will be one hour in length.
